Art Exhibit by Alessandra Busanelli at Agora Gallery

Chelsea’s Agora Gallery will feature Brazilian artist, Alessandra Busanelli, in Sensorial Realms. The exhibition is scheduled to run through January 7, 2011. An insightful combination of computer science and fine art, Alessandra Busanelli’s graphic artworks communicate a thoughtful simplicity. Beginning with a simple image search, her creative process involves a study of colors, shapes and materials to create and/or re-articulate compositions of everyday life. Busanelli’s search for the beautiful, the quiet, the unusual and the contemporary have led her to employ an expansive range of materials, including acrylic, vinyl, acetate, voile, mirror and glass. Always aiming to create something new, these works pay homage to the pop artists of the late twentieth century, while concurrently developing a response to contemporary visual culture. Elements of exposure to both country and city give a sense of universality and communicate effectively that all one can do is experience and respond positively. Busanelli’s fresh graphic interpretations bring a wholesome art to a world that often responds to conflict with conflict. Alessandra Busanelli was awarded first place in Digital Art at the International Exhibition of Visual Arts SINAP/AIAP in Sao Paulo in 2008. Gallery Location: 530 West 25th St, New York City. Gallery Hours: Tues – Sat, 11a.m. - 6 p.m. http://www.agora-gallery.com/ArtistInvite/alessandra_busanelli.aspx
